This series of five photos were taken on vacation in Chincogeague VA in 2006. Tropical storm Florence was passing off shore, and I had never seen the ocean like this. This is a photo of my friends, MJ and Milly. The blowing sand stung our legs!

This is terrific, Betty and I can see the sand blowing. You did a super job of keeping the horizon level in spite of all the movement in the photo.

@Judy: Thank you, Judy. It wasn't easy in that wind!
You can feel the movement of wind and sand. The sky and sea are superb. A winning photo.

@Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine! Hard to believe the storm was hundreds of miles off shore!
Dramatic. You have caught some amazing weather conditions about as perfectly as I've seen in a while. These are my favorite times at the beach -- when the waves and wind kick up and you can truly feel all the energy and power of God.

It almost looks like a moonscape. Of course not counting the water. Very nice.

@Gary: Except for the wind, also. It does resemble a moonscape! Thanks, Gary.
