I remember that morning.... great shot for all the mosquitos......oh thats right they were only following me!!!!. I love the golden colors

@MJ: Well, since I "LOVE" spiders so much, you could have pushed me into that field! You have the mosquitoes, I'll have the spiders!!!! :-) But, it was a pretty morning!!!!

@Viewfinder: Never though of the X-Files! My only thought was that as much as I dislike spiders, I was sure glad our path didn't go through that field!!!!

@Earnest: Hi Earnest, this is an actual, unretouched, photo of a field full of spider webs! It was early in the morning at the Chincoteague, Virginia Wildlife Refuge. A friend and I were walking the trail, this field was right off a lookout and the sun was hitting the webs so that they were very visible. Since I really hate spiders, I just had to get a shot!

@Rhys: No, Rhys. From the lookout you couldn't really get close enough to them - and I really didn't want to! Too many spiders for my taste! Too far to zoom in and hand hold.

That is amazing. Don't you love it when you find something at just the right moment? Moments earlier or later and it would all be different.

@Tracey: There's a thought, a spider farm. Well, it was definitely a spider dining room! It would have been interesting to see an actual spider!

I have. There are several spiders that make these orb webs. One has yellow on its body. I don't know anything about spiders, though.
