Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaAmazing. It must be really interesting to be close up. 15 Mar 2008 5:47am @Michael Skorulski: That day was incredible. No other whale watch came close! @Ana Lúcia: Thank you. @Marie: Thank you very much. @Saeed: Thank you. It was a very interesting afternoon! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesI am green with envy. What a fantastic shot (and experience). 15 Mar 2008 11:48am @Viewfinder: I shot straight for two hours. My hand was cramped. The guide on the boat was kind enough to tell us what to do for closer shots. Once I did that (track the underwater green of the whales moving and shoot when they surface), it was incredible. Fourteen humpbacks (including two mommies and babies) were all around the boat, and we witnessed every behavior, including a breach (too quick for me to get a shot, only got the whale landing at a distance). Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaOh My God, this is impressive, what a catch, in full flight, excellent! 15 Mar 2008 11:56am @Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine! Harald from Frankfurt am Main, GermanyPerfect !!! A very impressive shot. Very well done !!!! 15 Mar 2008 12:16pm @Harald: Thank you, Harald. Chris from South Jersey, United StatesWow - the power in that tail must have been fantastic to see - what an experience. Nice shot!! 15 Mar 2008 12:22pm @Chris: Thanks, Chris. My hope was to get a tail shot "straight up", but these whales never did that. Tracey from Baltimore, United StatesGorgeous! I think the chaotic water around the tail tell as much of the story as the tail itself! Love it! 15 Mar 2008 12:23pm @Tracey: Thanks, Tracey! Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesTo use a tired old pun, you great photo is no fluke. 15 Mar 2008 3:56pm @Earnest: Thanks, Earnest! @Bonj: Thank you. @Calusarus: Thank you. @Craig: Thanks, Craig! @Ina: Thank you. @MJ: Thanks, MJ! @Ronnie 2¢: Thank you, Ronnie. Dreams and a very cramped hand! Oh! And about eight rolls of film! standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceTHE photographer's dream shot.
