Kind of makes you wonder who carved it.

@Michael Rawluk: Can't you just picture someone doing that? And what was Warren County like back then?
Neat. I love the way they carve beams. We have similar carving in our beams here.

@Russ: Thanks, Russ. Makes you wonder about the person that carved it, doesn't it?
What a great find - a nice reminder that a real person used this barn in the past. Nice angle for this shot - well done!

@Chris: The angle was difficult because of the lighting in the barn, carving didn't show up any other way. Thanks, Chris.
VEry interesting shot. I like the texture of the wood, but most of it the deep of field witch is perfect. The use of B&W is also a very good idea.

@Laurent: Thank you, Laurent.
I am interessed in history of old era. Is this carving the building date or a sentimental date? vu@granby - Gilles Martineau
28 Mar 2008 4:16pm
@vu@granby: There was a verse with it also, so I believe it was a sentiment. Because of the bad lighting in the barn, it was difficult to photograph the verse also, I could only get "I + s + hall". I'm not sure what it meant.
