@Craig: Although it's black, it's much too large to be a crow. It's sitting on a rather large power line tower.

Looks big enough to be a vulture - I know we have plenty of them around....
Great framing and composition of this image - the contrast is great against that blue sky as well.

Perhaps a turkey vulture? We have many of them and they spook me out with their size every time. I like the "hide in the bushes and spy" feel to this one. Well done.

@MJ: How big is a raven? This bird was very large. In tomorrow's shot, it's flying. Saw me watching, and it took off.
