White Turkey

Continuing on the local wildlife theme, this wild white turkey has been in a field about one mile down the road for several days now. Finally stopped to get a picture today!

@Lorraine: Actually, she did run! She was near the road when I stopped... but then ran back into the field. Everyone stops to look because she's white.

Thats an interesting turkey, never knew they came in those colours. Nice lighting in this capture, very spring like and well composed.

@MJ: Thanks, MJ. Actually she did run, she was closer to the road when I stopped the car. I had to zoom in on her.

We have lots of turkeys around us as well, but I have never seen a white one. Great capture!!

@Chris: I have never seen a white one, either! We have flocks of 30 or so at the neighbor's (they feed the turkeys, deer and bear)... and I have never seen a white one like this!
