@mosleh: Thank you. @saeed: Thank you. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaAs I live and breathe lol I've never seen one so close...who knew they were sooo cute...Way to go Betty ;) 27 May 2008 9:54am @Lorraine: You know, it was here for two days and I started taking pics of it when I realize I could get a close up of its face! So I stood on a chair and zoomed in! It's little ears moved every time the flash went off... which was a little freaky! It's so tiny! @bm: Amazing that it can cling to the brick that way! @Alun Lambert: Thank you. Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesLooks like your office is a fine place for a nap! :0) 27 May 2008 10:22am @Craig: At least outside on the wall!!! :-) @Michael Skorulski: Interesting that people came and went and never noticed it there! @Viewfinder: That's very true! Every time we get one clinging to the wall... and it's happened several times over the years, there has only been one! Sandrine from Cincinnati, United StatesVery cute! I love bats cause they eat mosquitoes! 27 May 2008 11:57am @Sandrine: They are protected in New Jersey, against the law to harm one! Yes... eat those mosquitoes!!! vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, CanadaI hope the bat is the only one sleeping at the office! :-) Nice catch! 27 May 2008 12:03pm @vu@granby - Wolfgang: On rare occasions we have seen others napping... :-) Thanks! Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesWow, after reading what you wrote to Lorraine, the photo is even more remarkable. 27 May 2008 12:15pm @Judy: Thanks, Judy! Cheryl from Texas, United Statesgood capture! it looked cute till I read what it is :-) 27 May 2008 12:18pm @Cheryl: It is cute!!! :-) Bats are very beneficial! Eat those mosquitoes! MJ from Delaware, United StatesBetty.... what a great shot... and a great view... He is so cute 27 May 2008 12:58pm @MJ: Hey you!!! I'm here, you're not, I'm jealous!!! Thanks! Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesLooks to be sound asleep too and not repulsive looking as many other bats... then I wouldn't ask a bat's opinion of me either! 27 May 2008 2:17pm @Earnest: We thought it was adorable! I've never seen any other kind of bat up close... Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaBats sure provide a good service keeping insect under control. You should build bat houses for those cue guys. 27 May 2008 3:47pm @Michael Rawluk: I should have them here at home, I don't think they want them fluttering around the administration buildng! @Peter Miller: Thanks! Chris from South Jersey, United StatesNice shot - you are brave indeed to call them cute (they look like flying rats to me!). I know they eat the bugs and see plenty of them flying around my house in the summer, but not sure I would want one nesting so close..... 27 May 2008 7:57pm @Chris: This one seemed to be only resting there, and it was only there two days (gone at night). Now it has left! We get one every once in a while, and then it leaves. Have no idea why... Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaHe's upside down in the corner of the house..... he is kind of cute. Just goes to show never go anywhere without your handy camera in your hand. 27 May 2008 8:11pm @Marion: I learned the hard way that I should take a camera everywhere! Missed more shots... Now I always carry it with me. Tracey from White Hall, United StatesPoor little guy looks all tuckered out! Nice shot! 27 May 2008 11:28pm @Tracey: It's exhausted from buzzing round all night after those Jersey mosquitoes! @Rags: Interesting thing is, we have the public coming and going all day long... no one sees it! It's so tiny and high up in that corner! We definitely don't want to wake it! @Lorraine: As long as it was sleeping! LOL @Arash: Thank you. Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesAwww. Never thought I'd think a bat looked cute. 30 May 2008 12:26am @Anita: I just loved it's little face! :-) |
