Beautiful, Betty - is this a variety of Dogwood? I don't see the usual tell-tale 'rust' markings on the petals, though.

@Judy: Thank you, Judy... it look like a variety of dogwood to me. It's a tree in my neighbor's yard, right next to the road. I never saw it growing like this before, though.

@Lorraine: They were growing in a neighbor's front yard, right next to the road. And, as many times as I pass this house every day, every year... I never noticed them to be this beautiful! So, I just stood on the road and snapped.
