House Wren 3Posted by Betty (Phillipsburg, United States) on 29 June 2008 in Animal & Insect. This house wren set up housekeeping in my clothesline pole. How it fits in that pipe is a mystery to me! But it works all day bringing back all kinds of insects, spiders and worms!

Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesHow, on earth, does she have room to get down in to feed her young? You got some magnificent shots in this series, Betty. 29 Jun 2008 11:49am @Judy: I wish the pole had a window! I have been wondering that myself, Judy. But she goes in head first and comes out head first... how does she turn around? Tomorrow shows her going in head first. Thank you very much, Judy. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaHi Betty this shot really makes you wonder just what is in that tube. Is she sitting on her babies? Another incredible shot. I would be sitting out there with my camera too. 29 Jun 2008 2:51pm @Marion: I tried to hold the camera over the pole to shoot down in... but the nest is too far down the tube to see, and the birds really scold you anytime you go near the pole!
