@Lorraine: Oh, Lorraine... yes! I was lucky enough to go up twice. The second time was the most exciting because we went up one mile. A short series of that flight starts here.

Terrific shot. There is a huge balloon festival in Albuquerque each year. For a mutual anniversary gift back in the 80s, we took a balloon ride with fancy lunch over Sedona.

Lucky you to get up twice ... I enjoyed your 'short series'.
We went to the Albuquerque festival in 2000, but the day we were to go up the ceiling was too low for FAA regulations so we couldn't go up. <pout>
